Don Hazlitt was born in Stockton, California in 1948. He studied at San Joaquin Delta College, Sonoma State College and received an M.A. from California State University. His body of work is made up of colorful mixed-media painting, sculpture, and collages. His work plays with the boundaries of his diverse media choices (such as graphite, oil, gouache, and cardboard) often painting on textured surfaces to create depth.
