Benglis first met the Vogel's in the 1960's when her work was included in group exhibitions. Her work is multifaceted. She avoids being labeled by critics, and is best known for her experimentation with a variety of non-traditional media, including poured plastic, bronze, glass, neon light, ceramics, drawing and video. This work utilizes paper pulp, and explores the relationship between painting and sculpture.
