"In Message 22 (Feu), I incised the lines before applying the pastel chalk, so that the chalk seeped into the furrows of the incised lines making them much darker. Again, I see the four natural elements as being essential to the life of the cotton plant, and therefore to the energy hidden within the Arches cotton fiber paper. " Edda Renouf
